10-12-2006= Another Day of Sane Recovery!

Thursday, Octubre 12, 2006

The above is a picture of an immigrant climbing over a border fence by Agua Prieta, Mexico. I advocate a general amnesty for all undocumented immigrants who are in jeopardy of being deported from the U.S.A. and back into Mexico. They are all of my people.

I am an advocate for humane rights for all and promote progressive recovery.

Progressive recovery means sane recovery that emphasizes helping others in whatever ways that we can as an integral part of our own personal recovery and inner-spiritual growth.

I went to an Interview at the Hart Senior Center this morning at 10 AM that I believe went well. I was interviewed by three women for a part-time Officer Receptionist position. I will know sometime next week whether I was hired on or not.

I came home and blogged a Phil Angelides News Covberage Report with a SN&R Interview, plus, one with Peter Camejo.

Around 6 PM I went to the Angelides Campaign Headquarters for about an hour and did a little phone banking. Brother Jason and I took the bus there together. He goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Sister Monica, a Campaign Volunteer Coordinator, instructed us on the phone banking process for calling up people about the November 7th General ELection and a bit later Sister Olga came in and did it with us for awhile.

Then, sometime after 7 PM I went to the A.A. All-Tribes Meeting at the Urban Indian Health Center by 'J' & 21st Street. Brother Augie with twenty-six years of recovery filled in and was the Chairperson for the meeting. He talked about his early days in recovery, the touch spiritual struggles he went through behind his egotism and his conscious contact with Our Creator. He covered a lot of ground, I related to what he spoke of and his testimony triggered a lot of memories for me. So I believe it was a really good meeting for us all.

I want to try to do a blog entry in this blog at least once a day to keep a public record for myself and kind of keep track of my day-to-day progress for my own personal reflection.
