My job at Sally’s becomes increasingly burdensome. It seems that management is more concerned with gathering statistics to placate the County bureaucrats than it is on actually helping clients. I guess I have more of a housing development perspective than a case management perspective. That could be the crux of the problem in this area. Our Director Elizabeth Hudson wants us to document how many clients we see per week. So I can see a lot of people but I think the real emphasis, being in a homeless shelter, should be on looking for rental properties that our clients can reasonably afford. But then, that’s me bitching again!
It is a quiet morning here. I went to bed close to 11 AM and arose around 5:30 AM. Sometimes these morning times go by swiftly. We got some good Hazelnut coffee here to spark up our morning time I must keep track of time so that even though I wake up early I am not rushing at the last minute in order to get ready and leave for work.
I always strive to maintain an active balance in my life in the mind, body and spiritual realms of life-existence. I generally strive to keep a cool, calm and composed state-of-mind. Need to get more into physical fitness and eat more nutritionally. Strive to stay in a serene spirit and not get too stressed out about life.
I am glad I am single these days in these times. I do not need a woman underfoot, demanding this and that as I need to focus more on my writing, my Ministry and just working on my own spiritual growth.
I realized that as I write these journal entries they go from the oldest on top to the latest on the bottom, but when I blog it in my online journal it is the newest on top and the latest on the bottom. I will submit these entries for my Creative Writing Class at Sac City.
I need to learn how to write better and I remember reading a book that had a famous author in it who stated that we should write about what matters. There are a lot of writers/bloggers on the Internet, but so much is such self-indulgent drivel without any real import.
I do not want to be another soft subtle whisper speaking into the roaring wild winds of these troubled times. I know of my responsibility to write for my own healing, to write for those who cannot write and to write for all those who are afraid to speak their minds. One must be bold in this world or is liable to getting trampled on. Then, we may get trampled on yet, but at least we will have been bold enough to speak truth to power in the process.
I was born in 1951 while the Korean War was still going on, foreshadowing the long sad Vietnam War.
“The Korean War began as a civil war fought between 1950 and 1953 on the Korean Peninsula, which had been divided by the temporary occupations of the Soviet Union and the United States. The war began on June 25, 1950, when North Korea moved to militarily reunite the Korean Peninsula . The war was greatly expanded when the United Nations, led by the United States, and later Peoples' Republic of China, entered the conflict. The conflict ended when a cease-fire was reached on July 27, 1953.”

I wish the world’s governments would of learn from that war. Now we have the curse of Iraq-nam going on and it seems that history has taught us nothing in relation to waging unjust wars.
We need to allow the people of a given region fight their own battles, not intervene in domestic squabbles, then, have our intervention make it worse and blow it up all our of proportion.
Many governments are like individuals, motivated by their own greed and self-interests, while ignoring the survival needs of others. History seems to be one long bloody river of civilizations arising, combating each other and civilizations collapsing. Nowadays man has the power to destroy the whooe planet in his endless quest for more, more land, more natural resources and more state power. One wonders how much is man’s nature and a natural response to environmental stressors and how much has been psychically and environmentally conditioned into human nature. It is the old nature or nurture equation. We know that new changed conditions result in new changed people.
Maybe these are the death pangs of a dying planet or the death throes of a collapsing civilization ‘in the process’ of creating a brand new humane world where people work, play and live in relative Peace on Earth!
