Blogpost~ It should be clear to all progressive peoples that we need to closely examine the idea of building up social-political power based as partisans in one kind of political party or another, that is, being a member of a political party as active party members, not just on Election Day. We need to work together collectively as people, not as isolated individuals. An independent political party will give us the structure we need to build up a local community infrastructure that can function as a vanguard political vehicle for people to get involved in and support on a regular basis.
It should be clear to all of us that the traditional two-party system inside the United States is dominated by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party; these two official parties are actually one two-headed monster. This duo-dominance is directly and indirectly controlled by the monopoly capitalist special interests who command the politics and priorities of the Amerikan Empire. This is not mere radical rhetoric, this is a reflection of connected reality. There is no real independent democratic nation called the United States of America. There is a country of people who are living under great illusions about the true 'situation in the nation'.
A true democratic nation must be one wherein the government is constituted for the people, by the people and of the people with free open democratic elections not controlled by the big finances of corporate interests. Candidates for public office routinely buy their way into political office. To even run a campaign on a countrywide level for the Presidency requires millions of dollars.

The progressive movement inside the United States must come together as one unified movement, not as separate scattered sites not connected together at least online and communicating together online on a daily basis. In fact we need to ask a rhetorical question: Where is the progressive movement?
At present it should be patent that there is no single vanguard political party inside the United States nor do I think there can be a single party that can advocate, represent and mobilize the great beauty of diversity we have here.
Many of us are just trying to make it through the day, meet our survival needs and nurture our relationships. Be sure that for all practical purposes we are now in the Great American Depression of the New Millennium.
