Buenos Dias Hermano GB!
A brand new day...Phoeniquera is what gente alli call Phoenix. I lived there for a few years back in the mid-80's. I had broken out of a bad drunken relationship with a sexy Chicana. Fortunately, I was involved with a Pentecostal church lead by an uncle of a blood cousin of mine. They had a sister Church in Phoenix led by Pastor Bernie Garcia. Quietly without fanfare they had a small group of immigrants they were hiding out and taking care of for a long time.

The Movimiento has failed to utilize religious fervor in its general approach to mass mobilization, though, Chavez knew how to work it with the UFW, but the combination of political and spiritual efforts must be sincere, not merely manipulative for political purposes. Thuse we should be exemplary believers, not merely make believers!
In Phoenix, I got involved with building up a group called CATI ~Chicano Advocacy and Training Institute ~ that was mainly to help create Chicano leadership. We sponsored the first International Conference on Immigration Legislation at theTempe School of Law that got some leading immigration activists involved and did some work with immigrantes who had 'crossed the desert'.
Plus, we did some work with the Sanctuary Movement and helped expose the main traitor for the prosecution team, who was a coyote, pimp and dope dealer. We had a compa from Chile who took photos with his long-lens camera of him and we posted flyers around Phoenix and Tucson. The traitor decided not to testify for fear of his life! Remember about half of the state of Arizona back then resided in Phoenix.
Plus, I did some others things with other folks, including the Arizona Farmworkers Union, the Welfare Rights Group and others. In relation to the Chicano Movement, our main jefe was Gutavo Gutierrez ~ a powerful man but a control freak. Gus use to meet with Cesar Chavez at his house whenever Cesar came to Phoenix, but they had differences in relation to undocumented workers and unionizing them or not.
Plus, in Phoenix the main non-profit organization is Chicanos Por La Causa and I did some networking/organizing with them.

There is a lot of work to be done there and the people are not as burned out by community organizers as they seem to be in Southern California. Many in leadership positions want to be 'king of the hill' so we have a bunch of little hills instead of one big mountain range!
I got to get into poems more... they capture stuff in ways that others forms of writing cannot.
My crazy Cousin Mark was up last night with his binoculars and a few neighbors watching the eclipse. I was in dreamland. Today I awaken to the same nightmare that is life in Amerika!
Well, I gotta get ready for work. In the near future, I will get involved in short videos using my HP Camera to blast out to others online. We need to develop ways of creating more of an Internet presence that impacts on a global scale. One way is to do comments with links on others people's websites. Plus, remember to lodge Network Aztlan with Google! I better get going before I get strung out here online. Dinosaurs and demons to slay today!

Where is Phoeniquera?
About your ideas for news and reporting that's good to
do and we should see.
1:51 pm : Partial eclipse begins. In the fields of
grass, reed, wet mud and leaves where temples and high
stone edifices tells of their email posts, and where
my eyes can see and run like a spotted tiger in the
likes for the cosmos. The time will be 2:52 A.M. :
Full eclipse will began. Scattering blue lights, I've
read, and much shades of orange-red glows into the
long wee, wee hours of night. But, I'm falling a sleep
here, so I'm saying goodnight to all.

11:05 PM ~ I will do what I do. I rarely post to the
Net-Action Group and do not unless it involves
actual ACTION! An event, a march, a protest or other
community action or event. So I do not double post,
as much as you get them all... I imagine.
I suspect Ernesto has other pursuits... to know
when enough is enough, but I know he has physical
ailments.
I get Mondays off from work at the Homeless
Shelter so I have just been here watching cable,
CSPAN.. got one earlier by NCLR and just casually
posting news articles.. I am not as our enthusiastic
Hermano Carlos.
Plus, remember I recently got Internet Connection
here at this house that I did not have before and
can type and post fast. I got two hideouts!
I plan to go to the Mission District in San
Francisco this Labor Day Weekend for a couple of
days and to hopefully meet some new companeros y
companeras!

PETA!
Please keep news to news too many double posts, I
read, unless a post is about an important action,
now or in the near future (within a week or two) do post
to Action for Action!; "I'm Monitoring it, since Sr.
Ernest whom is missing in action. I think Brother,
my announcement of your A,N. blog, the asking for
donation of money and the Order of the North Star
must have gotten you too excited. Yes my attention is to
get some feel good thoughts and financial support to
share with you. Yes, I'm applying for our support by
foundation grants. iOn the web range we can ride to
the horizon.
Keep up the good news and blog, it has been blessed
by Jesus? I hope God to subscribe.
Thanks,
