4. If you would send me some more material on yourself: age, family, marital status, religious background, education, vocation, present religious interests, and objectives, I'd be very thankful.
Age: Born November 15, 1951 and I am now 55 years old.
Family: I am single now with two younger brothers and one older sister. My dearest Mother passed over to the other side around 1990 and my father lives in West Sacramento.
Marital Status: Single for all practical purposes.
Vocation: Humane rights advocate, counselor and helper.
Religious Background: I was raised a Catholic, but am now non-denominational, though, I have done some Church-hopping and have explored different religions and even have a Koran.
I am a humane Christian who believes in the Holy Bible as the Book of Wisdom. I believe that even the main proponents of the Christian religion have strayed far from the original humane precepts and principles of the Good Book, though I do relate to Brother Billy Graham.
My favorite sermon is still the Sermon on the Mount of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Education: Some college, no degree. Am presently taking a Creative Writing Class at Sacramento City College.
Objectives:
My recovery status is over eleven years clean from being an intravenous 'shooter' of methamphetamine or 'crank' and over three years sobriety from alcohol, though I have been sober most of the last ten years or so.
I logically believe more than the quality of one's recovery, not only the mere quantity. If you sober up a horse thief, you still have a thief with a major character defect!
For me, my personal goals are to continue doing what I am doing in terms of helping others in whatever ways I can in different areas with an emphasis on helping homeless drug addicts/alcoholics get into progressive recovery.
We can be cured from all forms of chemical dependencies in the process of us removing our character defects, working on our shortcomings and removing any residues I consider inhumane. It is all about love and working on our spiritual growth with true humility.
Objectives are the specific ways and means of us achieving set goals. Logic dictates to my mind that there really is no existing past nor any existing future and that all I have to really work with and work on is in real connected reality HERE NOW!
5. I'm wondering if you are a candidate for a visit to us here on Maui - for a vacation, a visit, some brainstorming, and help with our ministry. We'd love to see you and profit from your experience and enthusiasm.
I am only making less than $10 dollars per hour at The Salvation Army, but I do love my job on a good day, despite its moment of heartbreaks. I am the main in-house counselor in the largest homeless shelter in Sacramento County and I think in Northern California, not including San Francisco. I hope to make it across the 'pond' to Hawaii someday when circumstances and finances permit me to do so.
In closing, I am a Type II diabetic but I believe that my past alcoholism was a major factor in my becoming diabetic. I have been relieved of its harmful effects as I have been cured by the Power of God, common sense and a healthy lifestyle.
I have much more to say but it is getting late here. I usually sleep about five hours a night , want to get back into Yoga and working out practicing the martial arts and all.
Ideally, I would love to make a living from my writing and sharing a few nuggets of wisdom I have found along my pathways. More will be revealed and the Holy Spirit is real!
Blessings of Good Health and Serenity~

P.S. Hunger Facts
Every day in the developing world, 30,100 children die from mostly preventable and treatable causes such as diarrhea, acute respiratory infections or malaria. Malnutrition is associated with over half of those deaths.
In the last 50 years, almost 400 million people worldwide have died from hunger and poor sanitation… three times the number of people killed in all wars fought in the entire 20th century.
P.S.S. HOW my program works: Honesty, Openness and Willing to change, to improve and to continue my spiriutal growth.
