After my ex-wife and I had our Son Camilo and we were still married I had myself fixed because I knew I was not going to stay with her the rest of my life. I knew I would not be faithful to her and I am glad I did. I am glad I do not have children of my blood running around not knowing how they are, where they are or who they are, other than my long lost Son Camilo.
It is easy for a man to get a wife or woman pregnant, any man-child with live 'jizz' can do that! However, it is a far different matter to actually raise that child, provide for it, raise it and guide the child to be a mature functional adult in society. In fact, raising a child right is about the hardest thing any human can do in this lifetime in these times.
Ideally, we would have a whole village to help raise the child, no matter what the role or lack of role of the parents. In ancient society it was the elders who raised the children in their early years and this gave a role for both children and elders, plus, it freed up the parents to pursue other practical ways to provide subsistence:

It is easy to have sex, with love or not, then have a baby come out of the exchange, but it is a far far different matter when a man and a woman get together when she is already pregnant from another man, then that new man takes a responsibility for relating to the child as a father would to his son. There is honor and grace in that endeavor.Nevertheless, such a couple starts out with a severe handicap, esp. when they are not even living together and prior differences and contradictions have not been straightened out.
People should examine themselves before they get involved in a intimate relationship and determine if they are really even ready for a real deep intimate relationship. Sometimes sex for sex's sake is the most simple way to pursue such matters. Keep it simple!
People should always remember the basics of survival: food, clothing, shelter, medicine and basic education. It is primarily the responsibility of the parents to provide for their child the basics of survival or else it takes an entire village.Today is my day off from Sally's and I will focus on my writing. Well, thanks for sharing. The CASA Meeting went well. We need to have a steady AA Coordinator on Friday evenings as Brother Julius is caught up in his employment at Safeway and cannot really meet his responsibility to the AA Group at Sally's. I will have Brother Joe Montijo ~aka Toro~ as a fill-in, but he too has other responsibilities to attend to, including sponsoring others and he is about 70-years old with his own medical issues.
Know that my primary focus in relation to people is on the homeless clients at the Salvation Army and I strive to pay attention to the here and now in my existence. My family is the family of humanity.
