It is another Friday morning. Last night Cousin Mark and I went to the All Tribes AA Meeting at the Sacramento Native American Health Center. It was a good meeting and I want to make a habit of going every Thursday when I can. There is a potluck coming up there on November 1st and I want to make some chili beans.

I need to get ready for work, I have my Creative Writing Class at Sac City and I am realizing that it is a real inconvenience for me as after a hard day at work it is a bummer to be in class until around 9 PM.

I need to get more into different management systems:
~ Time management
~ Stress management
~ Work management

I hope to add to this blog post this evening. Nada mas ahora!

@9:16 PM
I had a tough day at work, especially being at the Front Desk at Sally's dealing with the local homeless population, relating to clients, answering the phones and multi-tasking all day. It seems that our misguided Director has decided to not have our seasoned volunteers work at the Front Desk because of supposed 'community reports' whose nature I was told to keep 'confidential'. Yet administration did not have the personal integrity to inform our regular volunteers to their face and let them know.

So I had to be at the Front Desk almost all the time with a few brief pauses and one short smoke-break when another staff member covered me at the Front Desk.

On the positive side, being at the Front Desk was good for my humility, was a good refresh and made me more aware of comings and goings at the shelter. I do not know if any staff members are hip enough to find this blog. Irregardless, the power of the truth will overcome all lies, deceptions and false accusations.

I daily see how some homeless people get to be mere street hustlers that have settled on being hustlers at homeless shelters without a sense of assertive ambition with a low sense of self-esteem. Sometimes when we help people without also giving them a sense of orientation we can become co-dependents and actually end up hurting their spiritual growth and inner enlightenment. Life should have real meaning for all of us living it! What good is a life without meaning or devoid of any real purpose???
