10-25-07: Astrro, Bible Study and Stuff

Today I am blogging this post direct from an Email I receive every day about my Daily Forecast. Every since I was a young lad I have been hip to astrology. At times in the past I would get a wee bit fanatical, have a monthly astrology magazine and check out the astro aspects for the day.

Nowadays I will just get general hints and use it as another research tool in my arsenal, along with practical analyses before me here now. Thus, I am not overly superstitious about it all.

As a Christian I know there are elements of astrology in the King James Version of the Holy Bible and the Three Wise Men were apparently real astrologers as they knew how to read the Heavens above and apply their understanding to practical affairs here on Mother Earth.

Genesis 37:9

"And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me."

Matthew 2:1-2

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."

So we need to look at the qualities and measures of things in order to better see and utilize them to help us prosper in life.

I need to get ready for work, afterwards I have Bible Study to do and other tasks before me today. May the Sun, Moon and the Stars, products of the Great Creator, guide me in all my undertakings today. Amen! ~Peta

Time: 9:43 PM ~ Earlier this evening, I was honored to conduct Bible Study at the Salvation 'Center of Hope'. Sweet Sister Shyann helped me and we all had a good gathering.

I opened with a prayer, then, we went around the room introduced ourselves and shared about what was the turning point in our lives that led us to Jesus Christ. I found it very interesting to discover the different pathways that led us to Christianity. Many of us were raised into a belief in Christ, the Church and God in general at different times and ages in our lives under different settings. I believe that us sharing as we did created a kind of group unity afterwards that we did not have before we all shared. We closed with a group prayer, decided on a movie to watch ~Samson & Delilah~ then I did an exit and walked home here to the Chacon Casa.

I called Flureffa this evening and her Mather interview went well. Plus, I called back MCC and deleted people off the list whohave left the shelter system. Gracie B. is getting impatient about when she is going to go in, but I believe she will be notified soon. Patience, prayers and perseverance are keys to success.

Mark and Valerie are back from an AA Birthday Meeting. Mark usually goes to an AA Meeting every evening and sometimes during the day. He is a strongly dedicated AA Member and spiritual supporter for many. There are many pathways to recovery. I believe it is best after we have gone through a real spiritual conversion.

I am scheduled to do another Bible Study on Thursday, November 1st ~ right after Halloween. I will plan for it better and try to have a special program arranged. I had not done a Bible Study for Major Mary for a long time and I kind of forgot how lovely it can be so be of service in such a setting.

I do not really like Halloween as it has evil aspects to it. However I know that our initial attitudes towards phenomena often influences our actual experiences of certain events. Thus, I will try to have healthy attitudes towards the upcoming Holidays, especially when before long the annual holiday season will be here in full bloom, along with the many mass marketing capitalist bombardment via all forms available media. Tomorrow is Friday and it should go pretty smooth, plus, give me time to catch up on other work I have not had the time to do so far this week. I have decided not to burn myself up at work because I know that no matter how much we do, we never get done what needs to be done. It is true that it is good to work smarter, not just harder, then, it is even better to work hard wisely.
