Gracias for taking the time Cougar ~ I hope we can meet face-to-face and heart-to-heart sometime in the future. Maybe we can communicate with Instant Messages sometime, though I rarely go into the craziness of chart rooms.You have been a real blessing in my life and there were many times when I had some humorous crackups with you and belly laughs because of something that you sent. I will take the liberty of sharing this with others as it was touching and compelled me to touch back in return.
In these troubled times my time is tight and my personal responsibilities many offline out in the local community ~ mainly working with homeless people and recovering addicts in real time in real life, but I do not forget some of the real friendships I have cultivated with others whom I have only met online, though, I have met a few folks offline in real life outside of virtual reality.
I need to spend more quality time in study, prayer, meditation and creative writing myself. Sometimes being on the Internet can stifle our natural creative urges and dry up our creative juices.
I have had to cut back on my membership in some online groups because I do not really post to them on a regular basis or I have had my group membership set to receive only Special Notices. Many times in groups it becomes a kind of aimless regurgitation of the news or related news items and there is little or no real intra-group communications between online group members below the group level.
As humane advocates and humane activists , the bulk of the real hard creative work that needs to be done is with those who are in our personal lives, in our immediate blood families and in our own local communities. Let us not fiddle away our time while Rome burns!
The Amerikan people have long gone insane and there is an evil mad man in the White House. The spirits of 60,000 plus dead American bodies killed during the Vietnam War cry out in an strange silence against the repeat of Vietnam with variations in Iraq and the Middle East. However, those in Vietnam and the Middle East have lost many many thousands of people compared to Amerikan lives.
Fortunately, due to the Power of the Internet in bridging communications between people who are distant in the physical sense there has been a rather quick crystallization of mass consciousness among the people against the insanity of what I call Iraq-nam and the evilness of the Amerikan military occupation compared to the Vietnam War.
The U.S.A. alone cannot solve the immigration reform issue as it is really an international issue that involves international laws, borders and alliances. The only solvent solution is a general amnesty and the elimination of false borders that only keep the poor within national boundaries while the super-rich commute freely in pursuit of corporate profits. Remember: the majority of the world's peoples are in the Third World of Latin America, Africa and Asia, not inside the U.S.A.
The next Presidential election will be very interesting, Democrats should not assume a victory and the results will change the social-political national landscape. However, what this country needs is a real socialist revolution connected to the people's liberation movements on a global scale, one that will ultimately transform the present state of property relations between the two main economic classes in present day class society: the 'haves' and the 'have-nots'.
Whether that revolution is violent or not is a moot scholastic question. We suffer violence every day in a zillion ways, the violence of hunger, the violence of poverty, the violence of apathy. It is actually a question of how to fit it into our general situation with flawless precision as we continue to raise a humane mass consciousness in creative ways.
Ultimately, it is the broad masses of the people worldwide who together in the struggle for liberation will be the real 'decider' not the evil puny idiot in the Oval Office!
